The Move-A-Thon is a fun, active event that brings together the school community while also raising funds for our beloved Sequoia Elementary. On March 25, each grade will have a designated time during the school day to walk, hop, run, dance, or skip as many laps as they can along the marked trail around the school yard. This fun day will include music, bubbles, games, and a hydration station to keep the kids moving and motivated. 

Leading up to the day of the event, we ask that you invite your friends and family to support your Squirrel's Move-A-Thon efforts by donating to their classroom. Families do have the option to create a family fundraising page. Any personalized pages are private (not searchable on the website) and can only be shared via the private link you'll receive after registration. All donations collected on a personal page will roll up to the student's classroom total.

There are two ways to fundraise:

• We invite you to create a family fundraising page HERE. Once you register, you can send your friends and family the private link to your personal page directly from the fundraising platform. No need to copy and paste! Please note that all personal pages are private (not searchable on the website) and all donations will automatically roll up into your student's classroom total. The only public fundraising totals shown are for the classrooms. This aligns with our effort to create an equitable fundraising experience for the whole school. 

• If you don't want to create a family fundraising page, you can simply share the public link to your classroom page with your loved ones. You can find your classroom's page HERE.

Student donation pages allow your family to send out custom emails to your family friends and track donations for your Squirrel(s). 

We will also have prizes for some of our top fundraising families.

No, unfortunately you will need to re-register for this new event. However, if you utilize the same email address as last year you will be able to import your contacts from last year. 

If you decide to create a family fundraising page, you only have to create 1 page, no matter how many Squirrels are in your family! This prevents your loved ones from having to choose between kids when donating. And the best part: any donations you receive will automatically be divided equally between the students and roll up to their respective classroom totals.

For example, if you have two Squirrels, all donations you receive on your personal page will automatically be divided in half and roll up to the two classroom totals.

Nope. All Sequoia Squirrels get to participate in the Move-athon on March 25; walking, running, skipping, dancing, or hopping as many laps as they can during their designated Move-athon time. 

However, even if you just share your classroom's fundraising page on social media or via email to family, you'll be playing an important role in moving us closer to our fundraising goal and ensuring all teachers, staff and students at Sequoia have the resources they need next school year.

You'll also be helping move your grade (and the whole school!) closer to winning some really cool prizes.
