Sequoia holds a number of community building and fundraising events during the year. They are a great way to get involved, be heard and build community.

 Flagship Events:

Fall Carnival 

What to expect:
Fun, food and games for the whole community in the Sequoia yard. Look forward to a raffle, face painters, classic carnival games, and a dunk tank for teachers and staff. 
 
Who is this for:
Everyone in the Sequoia community! Everyone in the family is welcome to attend. 
 
When:
Saturday, October 18th 11am-3pm
 

 


 

Moveathon

What to expect:
At this event, students compete to run laps - whether it's walking, running, dancing, jumping, or skipping. Students enjoy music, hydration stations, games, bubbles, and more fun.
 
We raise funds for Sequoia by getting sponsors and sponsoring our own students.
 
Who is this for:
Students participate and caregivers volunteer to make this event possible. 
 
When:
Thursday, April 2nd

Crab feed and Auction

What to expect:
A special night to celebrate the Sequoia Community! Enjoy a delicious meal, silent auction, and prizes.
 
Bid in the online auction before the event as well.
 
Who is this for:
21+ Sequoia Caregivers. 
 
When:
Spring 2026

Bike & Walk to School Events

What to expect: Every day is a great day to walk, bike, scooter, carpool, or take transit to get to and from Sequoia! Students get active, quality family time. Caregivers don't need to stress about the drop-off line. And the community gets safer streets and cleaner air! A few times per year, the school and the SPTO Traffic & Safety Committee hold special events to make this even more fun and exciting. Sometimes there are prizes!
